 The Class of '77 is hosting a 'multi-year' reunion and this will enable us to see more of the people there at BHS during our time spent there.  So, don't miss out.  Be sure the 'get connected' on Facebook.  Search Maria Harvey-Starkey to help you get hooked into any news and to help you find your way to the 'private group' set up strictly for information between our '78 classmates.  Any reunion news is always posted there.

Bearkats are finding new ways to 'catch up' with old friends.  We are learning a thing or two from our kids by joining Myspace, Facebook and registering at Bossier High School Alumni Association site www.BearkatsForever.org

It's been amazing to see the classmates AND old friends from 'my life' just by joining Facebook.  I'm thrilled now - since I moved away from Bossier/Shreveport in the summer of 2002.  Living in Lexington, KY didn't keep my from working on our 30th reunion with our FOREVER Class President Ricky Smith.  Special thanks to him for 'doing the running around' and his wife Brenda who was SO instrumental in helping us set up a tour at Bossier High.  Current Principal, David Thrash, allowed us to use the Cafeteria on that HOT July day (THANK GOODNESS!!!) for our 'picnic' and then allowed us to roam ALL the halls of BHS.  It was a great day with good memories had by all.  The place hasn't changed much - but it sure looked smaller!!  haha

So, join us on Facebook and be sure to search either my full name (Maria Harvey Starkey) or just search for the words Bossier High or Bearkat and you'll find the Groups (with LISTS of names to see - once you join - and it's FREE) of Bearkats whose numbers are multiplying many times over just in the last few months!!! 

The internet is an amazing place!!!  Thanks to that - we CAN all stay connected.

Well, it really isn't the beginning of our school - but it IS the beginning of this blog . . .

It's hard sometimes to put out the 'first post' - but truly just want to get the word out that there is a place to help us hook up with old friends and classmates and put out leads too on ones we can't seem to find.
